Multi-site grease management

One contractor for grease traps across every site you run

We look after grease management on over 1,000 commercial sites, including kitchens for Nando's, Costa, JD Wetherspoon and Pizza Hut. Automatic units for the busiest kitchens, large passive traps where they suit, and one survey programme, one contract and one invoice across the estate.

  • Every site surveyed free, because no two kitchens size the same
  • One contract and one invoice covering the whole estate
  • We deal with the water companies on your behalf, at every site
Free, no obligation

Book a free estate survey

Tell us how many sites you run and we will put a survey programme together. You get a written recommendation per site and one fixed price, with no obligation.

Optional: tell us what is in a typical kitchen

These are the nine items a water company asks us to count when sizing a grease separator to BS EN 1825. One representative site is enough to start with. Fill in what you know and leave the rest blank.

The survey costs you nothing and there is no obligation.

Letters at one site or several?

A Section 111 notice at one branch is usually a warning about the rest

Water companies write to food businesses under Section 111 of the Water Industry Act 1991, which covers what may be discharged into a public sewer. They tend to work through an area, so a letter at one branch often means the others are on the same list. We check the whole estate free, and we deal with the water company on your behalf.

How the compliance side works

What we take on

The whole estate, not one kitchen at a time

Running grease management across several sites is a different job from running it at one. Different landlords, different drainage, different water companies, and a compliance position that has to hold at every branch rather than on average.

Survey every site

Each kitchen gets sized on what it actually runs. A trap that suits your busiest branch is the wrong answer for the quietest one.

Pump and pipework inside a wastewater chamber

Roll out in a planned order

Sites sequenced by risk and by whichever ones are already on a water company's list, so the pressing ones are done first.

Drainage pipework inside an inspection chamber

One service schedule

Servicing and emptying planned around each site's trading pattern, waste documented, all of it on one contract and one invoice.

GreaseTech engineer reviewing drain camera footage on a monitor

One record for every site

What is fitted at each branch, when it was last serviced and the waste records, in one place you can show a water company.

Why groups move to one contractor

Site by site works until somebody asks you to prove it

Most groups get here the same way. Each branch sorted its own trap out locally, and it was fine, right up until a water company wrote to one of them and nobody could say what was fitted anywhere else.

Each branch arranging its own

Nobody can answer for the estate

  • Different kit and different suppliers at every site
  • No central record of what is fitted or when it was last serviced
  • A letter at one branch turns into a scramble across all of them
  • Invoices from a dozen local firms, none of them comparable

Using GreaseTech across the estate

One position you can evidence

  • Every site surveyed and sized, with the paperwork to match
  • Servicing on a schedule, waste removed and documented per site
  • We answer the water companies on your behalf, at any site
  • One contract and one invoice for the whole estate

Included with the installation

The FOG compliance check comes with the job, at no extra cost

It is not a separate service you have to buy. Every site we install at gets checked against what its water company actually requires, and the advice keeps running for as long as you are a client. Across an estate that matters more, because the sites will not all be under the same water company.

What the guidance covers

Our water industry experienced teams' guidance is designed to help you understand how relevant legislation, regulations and best practice may apply to your site, and what practical steps you can take to operate responsibly. That includes grease trap requirements, wastewater discharge, environmental responsibilities, maintenance records, system performance and preventative servicing.

We do not overcomplicate the process. We aim to give straightforward, site-focused guidance that helps you understand what needs to be done and why it matters.

For as long as you are a client

We deal with the water companies for you, at every site

The compliance advice stays free and ongoing for as long as you are a client of Grease Tech Drainage Solutions.

That includes answering them on your behalf. We handle the communication and negotiation with water companies and other agencies' compliance and enforcement teams, so a letter at one branch does not become somebody at head office learning water industry law.

Equipment

We are completely independent

We do not manufacture any of it, so we have nothing to push, and we are not obliged to fit the same unit at every branch. Each site gets what suits its kitchen, its drainage and its volume, and we install and service all of it ourselves.

Automatic grease traps

Separates and removes grease as you cook

A powered unit that continuously separates fats, oils and grease and collects them for removal, so the trap is not relying on somebody remembering to empty it. The usual answer for a busy kitchen or a site where access is difficult.

GreaseShieldGoslyn

Large passive grease traps

Sized to the kitchen, emptied on a schedule

Gravity separation, no power needed, and a lower cost to put in. In a busy kitchen it has to be large enough for what the kitchen actually runs and then emptied on a set interval, both of which we handle.

Swan EnviroGoslyn

Dosing

Keeps the run beyond the trap clear

An automatic biological dosing system that releases microorganisms to break down the fats, oils and grease that get past the trap and build up further down the drain. Fitted alongside a trap rather than instead of one.

How a rollout runs

Four steps, and the surveys cost you nothing

Survey the estate

We work through the sites, free, and record what is fitted at each one, what it needs and which branches are already on a water company's radar.

One programme, priced

A site-by-site recommendation and a single fixed price for the lot, so you can take one number to whoever signs it off.

Rolled out in order

Installed branch by branch around trading hours, starting with the sites a water company has written to, each one tested and handed over with its documentation.

Kept serviced and evidenced

One schedule across the estate, waste removed and recorded per site, and we keep answering the water companies for you.
